Even if you know Boston inside and out, you may not realize how much art exists throughout the city every day.
How much do tickets cost? What do they include?
Tickets are $25 in advance, $35 the day of the tour. Starting at midnight the morning of the tour, pricing is $35.
All ticket purchases include access to the guided tour. Advanced ticket purchases (tickets bought before midnight on the morning of each tour) include a bottle of water.
How do you buy tickets?
You can purchase tickets online. If you have any questions or require assistance, please call 617.971.8436 and indicate that you are calling about TAG: Boston tours. Tickets may be purchased on Tour Day for $35 provided there are spots available on the tour:
Ticket purchases available online up to 2 hours before tours begin. Starting at midnight the morning of the tour, pricing is $35 online.
In-person ticket purchases may be completed with the tour guide up to 10 minutes before the tour begins. The tour guide is available at the starting location at least 20 minutes before tours begin. In-person ticket pricing is $35. We will accept cash, check, or Visa/MasterCard.

Wednesday – Thursday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

How many pieces of art will I see?
Usually the tour features 12-14 murals, PaintBox projects, bras-reliefs, monuments, statues or other forms of public art. The number pieces varies by tour and walking distance between each available public art location.
How much time does it take to complete each tour?
It takes approximately 2.5 hours to complete each walking tour. This may vary depending on the size of the tour group and any detours our group may be required to make.
Are restrooms available on the tour?
Guests will have limited access to restrooms on each tour. This availability will vary greatly depending on the neighborhood. Tour guides will be able to assist you with more information regarding this on your tour.
Where are your tours located?
Our current tours include one route along Centre Street in Jamaica Plain and one route through Chinatown and Downtown Boston.

Parking: Free street parking is available. There is also a free parking lot entrance at 2-4 Burroughs St.
How many people can participate in each tour?
Generally, each tour can accommodate 16-20 people. However, tour group sizes will vary by date. Your group may be as small as 6 or as large as 20. You will get individual attention, but also the chance to talk about art with the new people you meet. We also offer private art walking tours.
Are pets or children allowed?
Pets are welcome to join the tours, but may complicate our group’s mobility along the way. If you choose to bring a pet, please be prepared to clean up after them. Children may come on the tour, but strollers may be difficult to use on certain sections of each tour route. Children must have a ticket for the tour.
Can I bring a camera on the tour?
Please do! The art pieces on these tour are beautiful and should be shared with friends and family.

What are your tour policies?
NON-REFUNDABLE: Once purchased, tickets cannot be refunded or rescheduled. Your space on the tour is guaranteed.
TOUR TAKES PLACE RAIN OR SHINE: This activity runs regardless of the weather conditions. In the rare situation where we are forced to cancel the tour, ticket-holders will be allowed to reschedule to another date (subject to availability). Please pay attention to weather reports for the Boston area for the day of your tour, and dress appropriately. Tour guides cannot provide rain gear to tour guests. Please note also that this is a walking tour, so comfortable foot wear is a must!
TOUR GUIDE GRATUITIES ARE NOT INCLUDED: But they are always greatly appreciated. If you feel that your tour guide has done a good job, he/she would welcome gratuities. Industry standard is 15%-20% of ticket cost.
NON-SMOKING: All of our tours and workshops are non-smoking.
USER PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT: All tour guests are bound by the user participation agreement (also known as the Participant Waiver), also presented during online ticket sales.
Do you offer private tours?
Yes! We are happy to schedule private tours for groups. Tour options include both standard tours and customized ones, depending on your budget and interests.
While the tour is outside, may I smoke?
For the comfort and health of all our guests and guides, we request that you not smoke on any of our tours.
Are the tours always the same?
We value consistency in terms of what appeals to our tour participants; however, tour stops are subject to change without notice in order to keep our tours fresh and new. Additionally, our tours may be adjusted based on changes and maintenance to public art displays.
We might even have the opportunity to spontaneously add a surprise stop to a tour if such a situation presents itself.
